ELITCH GARDENS TO LIGHT UP SKY ORANGE AND BLUE

Helping Denver Support the Broncos in Season Home Opener;

Announces Bronco Themed Admission Discount

DENVER, CO (September 4, 2013) – In the much anticipated start of the official NFL season, the Denver Broncos will face off against the reigning Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens on their home field this Thursday, September 5th. In support of the beloved Broncos, Elitch Gardens will be lighting up the iconic Big Wheel and Observation Tower orange and blue in a united front of fandom that VISIT DENVER and Mayor Hancock have dubbed Orange Thursday, showing the Ravens just whose turf they’re on.

As an added bonus, the downtown Theme and Water Park will light up the skyline orange and blue tonight as well to help build excitement for the big game and welcome any traveling Ravens fans into Denver properly. “Fitted with an energy-efficient light system made up of 250,000 LEDs, the Big Wheel can instantaneously stir excitement in Denver,” said Tracy Durham, Elitch Gardens Marketing Director. “Combined with the Observation Tower, that stands over 250 feet tall and is an iconic part of the downtown skyline, we are going to shine bright with Bronco pride.”

Elitch Gardens will maintain the excitement for the start of Broncos season, continuing past the home opener and through the remainder of the theme park’s 2013 season. Announcing an all-new Fall promotion, Broncos fans will be able to save $18 off Elitch Gardens Main Gate adult admission, in honor of the Broncos and as a shout out to the #18 Quarterback, just by wearing their favorite Broncos gear. On Home game days September 29 through October 27, guests who wear their Broncos jerseys and T-Shirts will receive the Manning discounted ticket.
