- What is Luminova Holidays?
Luminova Holidays is a lights festival that will bring the people you love together to enjoy this wonderful time of year! Surrounded by millions of dazzling lights, Luminova will brighten up your holidays! Visit with jolly ol’ Saint Nick, snap great pictures with family and friends around our larger-than-life light displays, sip on hot cocoa, and enjoy yummy treats.
This year Luminova Holidays will brighten up the Mile High city when Elitch Gardens hosts its first-ever Holiday Event! With over 200,000 sq ft of immersive outdoor entertainment, there is something to get everyone in the holiday spirit. It’s fun for all ages during the most wonderful time of the year!
- Is Luminova Holidays free with a Season Pass?
No, it is not. Luminova Holidays is simply being featured at Elitch Gardens. It is not considered to be a part of our normal operating season of April-October so therefore it is not free to season pass holders. It is not one of our normal special events, therefore it is not free. This also applies to SP parking and dining plans. They are not eligible to be used during this time.
However, we are offering extremely discounted tickets. Only $17.49! Half off our normal price of $34.99. This is not available on our main store. Look for our email or write to us at [email protected] with your EZ band number and we can send the link. This is for a limited time. Once our early bird ticket sale is over there will be a special discounted price for Season Pass holders ONLY for $19.99.
- What are your cleanliness and sanitization standards and procedures?
Here at Elitch Gardens, the safety and well-being of our guests and team members have always been our top priority. We have specific, stringent sanitation protocols in place for every operating department.
All guest and team member high-touch points including surfaces, railings, technology screens, handles and doors will be sanitized throughout the day as per regular policy. We are also adding additional hand sanitizer stations throughout the park. Anti-bacterial soap will continue to be available throughout the park and signs will be installed to remind team members and guests of health and hygiene best practices.
In addition to the steps outlined above, we will ask team members who are exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms to stay home and contact their healthcare provider. The Park will follow guidance from local and state officials, as well as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO.)
Un-vaccinated Guests will be encouraged to wear a face-covering while in the park, especially in restaurants, indoor retail locations and while in ride queue lines. If a Guest does not already have a face covering, they will be available at our parking toll booths and at retail locations in the park.
Require Un-Vaccinated Employees to Wear a Mask: Un-vaccinated Team Members will be required to wear a mask while at work.

- What rides will be open?
We plan to operate an array of family rides, including The Carousel, Big Wheel, Dragon Wing, Turn of the Century, select KiddieLand rides and MORE! However, please understand that some rides are temperature and weather-dependent.
- Are reservations required?
Reservations are required to visit Luminova Holidays and can be made when purchasing your ticket.
- How long can I stay at the event?
Once you arrive you can stay as long as you like and enjoy all the activities and features Luminova Holidays has to offer. The average guest will stay about 2.5 hours.
- Will parking be available?
Yes, parking is available on site at Elitch Gardens for $20 (card) or $25 (cash) per vehicle per day. RV parking is $25 per day.
Buses and large passenger vans with over 15 seats can park for free.
This special event is a partnership with Luminova Holidays and Elitch Gardens, so Season Pass holder parking does not apply for this event.
- What if it snows on my scheduled day?
Luminova Holidays at Elitch Gardens will be rain or shine. If we are unable to open due to weather, we will work with you to reschedule your visit.
- What if I am late/early to my reserved time slot?
All reservations are scheduled for a one-hour period. If you show up more than 30 minutes early or late outside of the one-hour window, park entry is not guaranteed.
- What happens if I change my plans or want to cancel/change my reservation?
If you wish to change your reservation, please notify our team at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled reservation by emailing your changes to [email protected] All changes are based on availability.
- If a day is completly booked, will there be a waitlist?
There is no waitlist, however, guests should continue to check back as inventory might change.
- I want to propose to my girlfriend/partner/boyfriend, do you have any special areas for that?
Absolutely and thanks for thinking of Luminova Holidays featured at Elitch Gardens for such a special event! There are many magical features where you can pop the big question! We have a magical lighted horse and carriage that you can sit in, a large heart, inside the 65 foot light tree...almost every turn you take you will see a place that might just be the one!
If you wish to have your moment photographed by someone who is not a part of your group (a professional), you will need to buy them a ticket to enter.
- Are pets allowed?
As much as we love our furry friends, pets are not allowed unless they are service animals similar to normal Elitch Gardens procedure.
- Is Luminova wheelchair & stroller accessible?
Luminova is hosted at Elitch Gardens which is ADA accessible. Please check here for full details. Strollers and wheelchairs are available for a fee at Entry Pavillion Service Center on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of wheelchairs are available.
- Will there be tickets available at the door?
Yes, tickets are available at the Elitch Gardens box office. If you know which day you’d like to attend, however, we strongly suggest purchasing online in advance. Online tickets are only $29.99 (or less) while Box Office tickets are $34.99. If you wait to buy tickets at the box office you are not guaranteed entry into the event if capacity issues do arise.
