SAFETY AND CONVENIENCE
Safe & Secure Park Entry
When entering Elitch Gardens, possession of a firearm or weapon is prohibited by state law. For your safety we use electronic screening devices at the main gate. Since metal objects may activate this system, please allow our staff to inspect bags and purses upon request.

ATM's
We have ATM's conveniently located throughout the park. Traveler's checks are accepted for park admission and in gift shops with proper identification.
LOCKERS
Lockers of varying sizes and rental prices are available throughout the park. Please see a park map for locations.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
American Express, MasterCard and VISA cards are accepted for all purchases and at J.M. Mulvihill's, Elitch Gardens Food Court and shopping locations throughout the park.
GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES
At Elitch Gardens, our goal is to accommodate our guests' needs to the best of our abilities. Our procedures have been developed with your safety and comfort in mind as we provide an entertaining experience with fair and equal treatment for all our guests.
SPECIAL NEEDS RIDE PASS
Procedures for 2008: We use the "Special Needs Ride Pass" system for our guests who use a wheelchair or who are unable to stand in a queue line. These passes are available at both our External and Internal Guest Relations windows.
The Special Needs Ride Pass make it easier and more fair for all our guests to ride our rides. You'll notice on the back of your "Special Needs Ride Pass" is an area for our ride operators to note your boarding time. If there is a wait to ride a specific ride, you will use your pass to enter through the exit ramps. The operator will note the approximate wait time for that ride and write down a time for you to return. This way, you can wait comfortably anywhere in the park, enjoy a meal, or even ride another ride that doesn't require a wait, then return at your boarding time. Please, only one open ride reservation at a time.
If you have further questions about the use of your "Special Needs Rides Pass," or if you need special assistance in any area of our park, please don't hesitate to ask. We are here to assist you, our guest! Also, be sure to ask for your "Guide to Ride," a free brochure that will give you an overview of our park's attractions and accessibility recommendations.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Guest Services
Guest Relations is located outside of the park by the ticket booths and inside the park next to the Carousel. They will be happy to assist you. Also, please go to the Guest Relations by the Carousel to claim or report a lost item. This Guest Relations location is also a meeting place for lost parties.
PARK RE-ENTRY
You are free to come and go as you please; however, make sure to get your hand stamped as you exit. You are free to leave the parking lot as well -- just make sure you leave the parking ticket stub on your dashboard.
RIDE RESTRICTIONS and RIDE OPENINGS
For the safety of all park guests, most rides have height and size restrictions. Most thrill rides require that guests be 48" or taller. Elitch Gardens reserves the right to limit guests from riding any ride if we believe that ride is not suitable for that guest. Also, loose articles, cameras and video equipment may not be taken on rides. All rides are subject to availability. Some rides may close temporarily during electrical storms, heavy rain and other weather conditions, or for required maintenance. If a ride is closed all day, it will be posted near each of the ticket booths. Every effort will be made to make the ride available as soon as possible.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
There is a RTD bus stop and Light Rail stop at Elitch Gardens. Visit www.rtd-denver.com for more information.
TIPS FOR FAMILY FUN
Call for park information and show schedule before your visit in order to take advantage of the best discounts and to plan for the activities you want to do most. For a special events, concerts and general park information call (303) 595-4386.
Plan your visit when attendance is lightest. Best bets: Weekdays during the summer and any regular operating day during the months of April, May, June and September.
Bring a jacket or sweatshirt for cool evenings. Store it in lockers near the main gate.
Smoking is ONLY allowed in designated smoking areas.
Arrange a meeting place and time should your party become separated.
Stop by Stroller Rental if you need a stroller, wheelchair. Come early, they're rented on a first-come, first-served basis.
Review the park map to familiarize yourself with the park's layout and help plan your day.
Also to help you plan your day, pick up a show schedule (available at all show facilities and Guest Relations).
Plan to start your day at attractions farthest from the main entrance. Also, ride your favorite rides when the park first opens or after 5 p.m.
Eat at non-traditional lunch and dinner hours.
Make sure children feel comfortable about a ride they are going on. Toddlers will especially like rides and attractions that are really "pint sized."
