Band and Choir, April 28, May 5, 10, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 25: Groups perform in the Trocadero Ballroom at Elitch Gardens with professional music adjudicators. Groups receive taped and written adjudicators comments before they leave the performance site. Ratings of Gold, Silver and Bronze will be awarded. The rest of the day is spent playing in the park. Music in the Park, May 5, 12 and 19 and June 2, 2012: Music groups perform at an offsite location and then have a ticket to visit Elitch Gardens after their performance. Outdoor Classroom, May 10, 2012 from 9am-4pm: It’s an interactive day of challenging and fun exercises provided for you and your students with the help of our partners in education.
Physics Night, May 10, 2012 from 5pm-9pm: Explore the inside and upside down of physics with the University of Denver Department of Physics. Student’s grades 6-12 will test their knowledge on a variety of topics.
Mad Science Days, May 16, 17 & 18, 2012 from 9am-4pm: Uncover the secrets of science as mad scientists perform, numerous interactive science experiments, throughout the park for children of all ages.
Colorado Great Outdoors & Wildlife Days, May 23, 24 & 25, 2012 from 9am-4pm: Featuring Colorado State Parks Association and the Department of Wildlife, students and teachers can stop by exhibitor booths, tents and table to learn more about our great Colorado outdoors and wildlife.
